Evolve Salon’s Sustainability Practices

Besides being a Green Circle Salon, Evolve Salon implements these other sustainable practices to help make our planet a more beautiful place:

• We are a certified Green Circle Salon; recycling up to 95% of our waste including hair, foils, excess color, aerosol cans, masks, gloves, wax supplies and more!

• We have ECOHEADS on all our shampoo bowls. These professional-grade shower head saves both water and energy by restricting water flow as well as filtering the water to clean it before it hits your scalp.

• Bring it Back Recycling Program.  For any product you purchased at Evolve Salon you can return the empty plastic or metal aerosol can for loyalty rewards points.  It’s a win-win for everyone; we are able to recycle those items, guaranteeing they stay out of the landfill and you get extra points that can be used on future product purchases. 

• Eco friendly color capes and brushes.  These items are made from sustainable resources and recycled materials.  The capes are made from recycled plastic which uses less energy and raw materials to produce the same amount of fabric and packaged in recyclable materials. The brushes are made not from plastics but bamboo, a renewable, sustainable natural resource.

• We use TruEarth Laundry Eco-Strip for every load of laundry. These eco-friendly, paraben free, cruelty free laundry strips pack all the punch of regular laundry detergent but in biodegradable packaging so we are able to eliminate at least 12 plastic laundry detergent jugs each year from the landfill.

• Defy Damage Refillable Glass Bottles. Each year during Earth Month in April we offer our favorite shampoo and conditioner (Defy Damage) in a 16oz. refillable glass bottle set.  This set saves plastic bottles from going into landfills while allowing you to snag a great deal by refilling them with the best products.

• Energy Star certified lightbulbs.  With traditional lightbulbs, 90% of the energy is given off as heat; with Energy Star certified lightbulbs that same energy is rerouted for light instead of heat.

• We are able to recycle our Nespresso coffee pods. So that latte or cappuccino that you love so much when you visit the salon, the plastic coffee pod is saved from filling up the landfill.

• And much more! When a sustainable practice opportunity arises we take advantage to help reduce our carbon footprint on the earth. Whether it’s using 7th Generation toilet paper and bamboo paper towels to local electronics recycling we are always on the lookout for a better way to Create Confident Beauty for our earth!
