What nail services do we offer?

Larissa is offering Gel Manicures, Structured Manicures and Gel Extensions. She will also be offering nail art. The nail art is broken down into tiers to make sure that there is enough time during your service to do the design you want.

Gel Manicure: A cosmetic nail treatment that uses a light-sensitive gel polish to enhance the look of nails. This is just gel polish applied to your natural nail that will be shaped and prepped before polishing.

Structured Manicure: A nail technique that uses a thick or hard gel to strengthen and enhance natural nails. The gel is applied to the base of the nail and down the sides, with the center (apex) of the nail being thicker. This creates a more durable nail that's less likely to break and can help nails grow longer and stronger. The gel is also flexible and absorbs shock, making it more resistant to the elements.

Gel Extensions: This consist of hard gel polish that is applied to your natural nail as well as being applied to the under side of a clear artificial nail. The artificial nail is then pressed firmly (to remove all air bubbles) on to your natural nail. It is then held under a UV light to cure the glue, adhering the artificial nail extension to your natural nails. These are the alternative to acrylic nails.*

Nail Frequently Asked Questions

While both are applied on the natural nail, (no extension) and last anywhere from 2-4 weeks, Gel manicures are mainly for aesthetic purposes. They offer only color/design and a glossy finish, while a structured manicure focuses on reinforcing and protecting the natural nails, making them stronger and more resilient.
Structure gel is a type of nail enhancement product used to add strength, durability, and thickness to natural nails. It is a thicker, more viscous gel than regular gel polish and can be used as a base layer to reinforce weak nails. It is cured under a UV or LED lamp to harden and bond with the natural nail, providing a durable foundation for further nail art or polish. It’s perfect for those wanting to grow their natural nails!
Gel extensions are much like Acrylic extensions, but without the acrylic, of course. Think of a full nail tip, like a press on nail but clear, that is applied with a UV curable nail glue. They have the ability to be shaped and customized to your preferred length/shape and topped with your desired color and designs. They can be filled up to 3 times with structure gel every 3 weeks and are known for being less damaging to the natural nails compared to acrylics if applied and removed properly.
A regular gel or structured gel manicure would be perfect for adding extra strength. Gel extensions could be considered depending on the severity of the damage/weakness of the natural nail.
Gel Polish: Either by use of a nail drill or nails are buffed and soaked in acetone. After a few minutes, the polish will lift from the natural nail and is scraped away.

Extensions : Using a nail drill with a coarse, safety bit, the polish is removed along with majority of the bulk of the extensions. Then, the nails are soaked in acetone. just like regular gel. The process may need time be repeated until the natural nail is clean of any nail products.

Item descriptionSome things you can do to help your natural nails and/or help your manicure last:
1. Use cuticle oil daily
2. Wear gloves during daily chores that involve excessive water, chemicals or tasks that may damage the nails.
3. DONT USE YOUR NAILS AS TOOLS!
4. Avoid acetone and harsh chemicals.
5. Keep nails clean under the free edge
6. Avoid biting or picking at polish or lifted extensions.
7. Reach out to your artist and doctor if any allergic reactions occur!

Nail Client Preparation

Your Appointment will last anywhere from 45 minutes-2+ hours. Depending on what service you choose will differ on the pricing and time your appointment will take.

Gel Mani, Structured Mani, Soak off ~ 45min-1.5hrs
Gel Extensions ~ 2+ hrs.
*All times vary based on nail art, nail conditions, etc. Larissa is a new artist and takes pride in her attention to detail. So be patient with her as she works on her speed*

Most appointments can be made every 2-4 weeks depending on how fast your nails grow, and how long you want to wait in between.

*2-3 weeks is the recommended time frame for a fill

Do not bring children or extra people to your appointment. Our space is small and homey. We want to spend our time focusing on you and only you during your appointment time.
